Smoothie Bowls- Breakfast in 5 minutes!


Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so depriving your body of the fuel and energy it needs, isn't the smartest move to make. We understand that most of us are tight for time and are racing out the door in the morning. But let this not stop you from giving your body what it needs.

One tip to keep you energized and awake in the morning is a big smoothie. It's quick to make, easy to take on your way to work and the refreshing and hydrating mix of fruits and veggies creates one of the best meals you can start your day with. But what if you aren't full after your smoothie and need breakfast number 2?

Well, adding nuts and seeds to the mix will provide more fibre, healthy fats and additional protein to your smoothie that will last longer in your system. Roz has beautifully blended up her favourite smoothie and shows you what you can do to add more substance to your smoothie to leave you feeling satiated, happy and full of energy to take on your day.

You will need:

2 Ripe Bananas

1 cup Frozen Mix Berries of your desire

A handful of Fresh Strawberries

Soy Milk or any plant based milk you desire, add what you need to create preferred thickness

2 Tbsps. Chia Seeds

1 Tbsp. Flax Seeds

Favourite Granola

In a high speed blender, blend everything till smooth.

Pour into your favourite pretty bowl and add your favourite granola or cereal of choice on top.

Garnish with sliced bananas, strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, and sprinkle with hemp seeds, chia seeds and shredded coconut.

Eat till you can't eat any more! If you can only eat one bowl, but still have smoothie left over, pour it into your to go cup and take it to work and finish it throughout the morning.
